A physical SIM card is a piece of plastic with a SIM on it. The SIM of course contains your account information (like your phone number) and connects you to your wireless provider’s network.

Enter your confirmation code 

Once you have your new Red Pocket Mobile SIM card, visit redpocket.com/activate. At this time, activation is available online only, for individual, annual plan and family plan SIM cards. 

Already purchased a plan? Enter your confirmation code. Your plan will be recognized automatically. If you do not have a confirmation code, no worries! Enter your SIM card ICCID number instead, to get started. 

You’ll need to enter your phone’s serial number as well. Your SIM card ICCID number will be assigned to your phone’s serial number. 

Get a new wireless number or transfer over your wireless number

During the activation process, get a new wireless number or transfer over an existing wireless number.  You’ll need your PIN number and Account ID number from your previous carrier. 

How can I make my SIM card active again?

  1. Remove the SIM card from the handset.
  2. Write down the numbers that are printed on the SIM card.
  3. Contact your wireless provider to activate your SIM card.
  4. Give the IMEI number and SIM card number to your customer service agent.
  5. Put the SIM card back into your phone and replace the battery and cover.

How long does it take to reactivate a SIM card?

And some SIM’s take up to 24 hours to activate, though this is rare. Typically, to activate your SIM card you just need to insert the correct sized SIM into your phone. But occasionally the process varies.
