How To Activate a Phone on Mint Mobile

What is a Phone?

A mobile phone is a portable telephone that can make and receive calls over a radio frequency link while the user moves within a telephone service area, as opposed to a fixed-location phone.

How To Activate a Phone on Mint Mobile

DOWNLOAD THE MINT MOBILE APP

In the app, select “Activate Your SIM Card.” The app should detect if your phone is compatible and automatically installs your eSIM in minutes.

You can also activate your eSIM on the Mint Mobile website or through the confirmation email we sent after your purchase.

SELECT “KEEP YOUR CURRENT ONE” TO BRING YOUR PHONE NUMBER TO MINT

You can also get a new number by selecting “Get a new one,” we’ll assign one to you based on your zip code. If you choose to get a new number, skip ahead to step 5.

ENTER YOUR CURRENT PHONE NUMBER AND ZIP CODE

This helps us verify your information and determine eligibility for transferring your number to Mint.

SELECT YOUR CURRENT CARRIER AND PROVIDE THE REQUESTED INFORMATION

You’ll need your account number and PIN, or number transfer PIN. You can find these on your current carrier’s website or in your account settings. Need some help? Contact your carrier’s customer support.

ENTER YOUR NAME AND EMAIL ADDRESS TO INITIATE A NUMBER TRANSFER REQUEST

Once your request goes through, you’ll see a message saying your plan has been activated. If you don’t get a signal right away, restart your phone and it should connect; this also applies if you requested a new number.
