If you’re switching to O2 from another network and want to keep your mobile number, you’ll need to ask your old network for a PAC (Porting Authorisation Code). You can get your PAC by texting PAC to 65075. You’ll get it in 60 seconds.

- Give us your PAC code online: switch your number to O2.
- Call us: If you’re joining on Pay Monthly: call 202 for free from your O2 phone or on 0344 809 0202 from any other phone. If you’re joining on Pay As You Go: call 4445 for free from your O2 phone or on 0344 809 0222 from any other phone.

Text PAC to 65075 to get your code. Your provider should then send you a text containing your PAC pretty much straight away. This message will also include any important information about any early contract termination charges, outstanding handset costs or pay-as-you-go credit balances.
How do I activate my O2 SIM card?
Just pop it in your device and you’re good to go. If you’re using an eSIM, you’ll just need to download the eSIM profile to your device, using the QR code in your eSIM pack. If you have a Pay As You Go plastic sim, you’ll need to put it in your device and then top up to activate it.

It is vital that you give the correct email address on your online application and that your email account is working. It is also important that you check your email regularly.

A Porting Authorisation Code (PAC) allows you to take your old number with you when you change service providers. You’ll be asked for your PAC when you want to transfer your number either to us from your old provider or from us to a new provider.

A PAC code is an alphanumeric code that should have three letters, followed by six numbers. For example, a PAC code should look like ABC123456.
What is the PAC code for leaving O2?
To get your code, just text PAC to 65075. You’ll receive it within 60 seconds. If you’ve already switched or left O2, you can request a PAC code by calling us on 0344 809 0202. You have up to 30 days from when you leave O2 to request a PAC code from us, and it will be valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
How do I text three to get my PAC code?
Text PAC and your date of birth (DDMMYY) to 65075 and we’ll send this to you. You can then give this to your new provider. Please note that you won’t be able to upgrade online for 30 days once you’ve requested this code. If you don’t use your PAC code within 30 days, your contract with us will carry on as normal.
