How do I activate my AT&T SIM card in a replacement phone?
Go to Device Support and choose your device. Scroll to Device info, and choose Insert SIM. Then, follow the steps to activate your device.
Why is my new SIM card not working AT&T?
However, we highly recommend you remove the SIM, as damage isn’t the only thing that can cause those errors. If the SIM card reader is dirty, or has dust or debris in it, then it may be unable to read the SIM card. Try wiping down the SIM card with a small cloth, and use compressed air to clean out the SIM card slot.
Can I reactivate my ATT SIM card?
AT&T physical SIM cards cannot be reactivated once deactivated. If you converted your physical Sim to an esim on your iPhone, that function should have worked if done correctly. You will have to call AT&T, from another phone if necessary to have them reactivate the esim with your current phone number.

Try to power down your device and remove the sim card. Make sure there are no dust or debris by gently wiping the SIM card with a soft cloth. Insert the sim card back into the device and power back on. If you continue to receive the error, you can Factory Reset your device.
