Magic Bands are plastic RFID bracelets that are used at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort. The MagicBands form the central part of the MyMagic+ experience, providing a way for the system to connect data to guests.

- Power your band on by pressing the button on the back once, and tap the band to your phone.
- You will be directed to open or download the My Disney Experience app.

How do I know if my MagicBand is activated?
If you are on a desktop computer, laptop, or tablet, visit the Walt Disney World website and select “My Disney Experience” at the top right corner of the screen. After you log in, select “My Magic Bands and Cards.” Any Magic Band(s) that you own and have previously linked should be visible on the screen.
Why won t my MagicBand turn on?
Press and hold the button for one second to power it back on. If successful, you will see a solid green light. If your MagicBand+ still isn’t working, you can then try the following: Factory Reset: Reset your band with a single press of the button, quickly followed by a second press that you hold for 15 seconds.
Why is my MagicBand not pairing?
Restart your phone. When your phone powers back on. Press and hold the button on the back of the MagicBand+ for 3-4 seconds until the blue led’s come on signaling it is in pairing mode. Open MDE, go into the MagicBand+ section, and the button that usually says RECONNECT for your MagicBand+ will now say PAIR.
How long do MagicBands take to charge the first time?

Do MagicBands need to be charged?
The recommendation is that you fully charge your MagicBand+ upon receipt of your band, and every night before use. This will make sure that the battery levels are optimally charged. You can also take a peek at how to set up your MagicBand+ for the first time!
How long does it take to charge a Disney MagicBand?
If you purchase a MagicBand+, we would plan on a full charge taking at least 90 minutes.
How long does the MagicBand battery last?
MagicBand+, introduced in 2022, has a rechargeable battery and comes with a charging cable. Battery life is estimated to last 1 to 3 days between charges. It is recommended that you charge your band each night during your vacation.
What is the ID number on the MagicBand?
On the inside of your MagicBand you’ll find a 12-digit MagicBand ID number listed. Enter that ID number into the field.
Why is MagicBand flashing blue?

Can you relink a MagicBand to someone else?
Once a MagicBand has been linked to a person’s profile, it remains linked to them and can be reused in the future with any new tickets or reservations linked to that account. A MagicBand cannot be reassigned to a different person.
