What is the New Badge on Facebook?
Last year, we announced group badges, a new visual feature designed to help people learn about other group members. There are badges for admins, moderators, new members, for a member’s group anniversary, members identified as conversation starters, and for founding members.
How To Activate a New Badge on Facebook
- Tap
in the bottom right of Facebook and tap Groups then Your groups, then select your group. If you don’t see Groups, tap See more.
- Tap your profile photo to the left of “Write something…” to go to your member profile
- On your member profile, tap Edit Profile.
- Tap Add Expertise below Expertise.
- To add your topic of expertise: Tap Add topic, search for your topic of expertise and tap it. Tap
next to Add to group expert badge if you’d like your expertise to appear with your expert badge.
- To add additional credentials: Tap Add experience and follow the prompts
- To allow admins of other groups to discover your expertise: Tap
- Tap Save.
