What is Nectar Card?
Nectar is a loyalty card scheme in the United Kingdom run by Nectar 360 Ltd, a company wholly owned by Sainsbury’s. The scheme is the largest in the United Kingdom, and comprises a number of partner companies including Sainsbury’s, Esso, eBay and British Airways.
How To Activate a Nectar Card
Online: Go to www.nectar.com and click on “Activate card”. Enter your card number and security code.
In-store: Ask a member of staff at any participating store to activate your card.
Through the Nectar app: Open the app and click on “Activate card”. Enter your card number and security code.

Do you have to activate a Nectar card?
You need to register before you can redeem points and claim rewards. You can do this by calling the Nectar helpline on 0344 811 0 811 or visiting nectar.com.
How do I activate my Nectar card on eBay?
Once you register, you can link your accounts by going to Nectar in the Buy section of My eBay and selecting Link account.
How do I use my Nectar card at Till?
For in-store redemptions: simply present your Nectar card at the till and the cashier will swipe your card to automatically deduct the points from your account (subject to system availability). Any remaining balance will need to be paid in full by cash, debit or credit card on the day.
How do I use my Nectar card online?
Online: you’ll need to add your Nectar card to your account and amend/checkout your order before 11pm the night before your delivery is due. Your receipt shows 1 point per pound points, plus bonus points from any paper coupons.
How do I check if my Nectar card is still valid?
First, make sure you have registered your card online via nectar.com or the Nectar App. Then log into your account and check your card activity in the Activity tab. If the issue is unresolved, use Nectar helpline live chat at nectar.com or phone 0344 811 0811.
Can I link my Nectar card to Amazon?
Our integration with Amazon doesn’t require you to have or create an Amazon Business account. What pricing plan includes Amazon rewards? Amazon rewards are found on the Plus Plan.
Does PayPal give Nectar points?
The amount of Nectar points you can collect on such transactions will depend upon the final purchase price paid using PayPal, credit card, debit card or PayPal Credit (except any amount spent on postage & packaging or any taxes not included in the item price).
Can someone else use my Nectar card?
Anyone issued with a Nectar Card for a Nectar Account can redeem points from that account for any available Reward, unless the Primary Collector notifies us a particular Additional Collector is not authorised to redeem.
Can I use Nectar card on my phone?
If you already have a Nectar card, make sure it’s registered online before using it for your shopping. Both physical and digital cards are accepted at the checkout in store. You can download Nectar app so you always have your digital card with you and add it to your Apple wallet.
