How much does it cost to activate a Jitterbug phone?
Standard $35 activation charge. No additional charge to transfer number. You can transfer your cell or home phone number to your new Jitterbug® Flip2 at no cost, as long as your number is still available.
Does Jitterbug phone need a SIM card?
Yes it does come with a SIM card. The SIM card is for their network. You have to activate the phone on their network first (which has an activation fee of course), and then you can change it over to another carrier if you’d like. I’ve been trying to do it for two days but their network has been down.
How does Jitterbug phone work?
Jitterbug comes with its own monitoring professionals who can help you in an emergency, turning your phone into a simple medical alert device. The Flip2 and Smart3 cell phones both have this feature. If you fall in the kitchen or have any other emergency, press the red star button on your phone.

Set up photo sharing through Lively.com/myaccount. Can the Jitterbug Flip receive any size/format photos? The Jitterbug Flip only accepts JPG, GIF and PNG files as text message attachments. All photos are compressed before being sent to your phone.

Jitterbug uses Verizon towers, but you don’t need to be a Verizon customer. With a network that big, you’ll have cell service throughout most of the US. Unlike Verizon’s usual service, you won’t need to sign a long-term contract to use Jitterbug to make a phone call or text.
